The name

Pahoia is named for the Pahoia Peninsula, in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Off its shore stands a rock with a lone tree growing from the top. It has stood through every tide.

Cameron Priest founded Pahoia after building TradeGecko, which Intuit acquired in 2020.
